Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani’s Sooraj Thapar Reveals When He Was In Hospital All He Could Think About Was 'Making A Will'
Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani’s Sooraj Thapar tested positive early this month after he returned to Mumbai from Goa. Upon arriving in the state, he was feeling uneasy and underwent a COVID test in Mumbai. Unfortunately, he tested positive and his health was deteriorating due to which he was then hospitalised. He was also on oxygen support. Now, after days, Thapar is out of the woods and has returned home after recovering from COVID-19. However, in a recent interview, the actor revealed what he thought when he was lying on the hospital bed.

Sooraj tells the portal, “On the day of my return (May 7), I started feeling uneasy. I felt extremely weak but was unable to fathom the issue, as the antigen and RT-PCR tests I underwent a few days before were negative. I underwent another round of tests at Mumbai airport and the result was awaited. However, I got a CT scan, as my condition worsened, and consulted a doctor, who told me that COVID had infected my lungs.”

While he was recuperating in the hospital, his wife, actor Dipti Dhyani was extremely worried about his health after the doctor said that the infection would spread further. "All I could think of at that time was to make a will," he said. He paid the house rent in advance, cleared his bills, and transferred money into Dipti’s account. Due to the lockdown, Sooraj too suffered a financial crunch, following a no-work phase with the entertainment industry. When asked how he managed with medical expenses, he said that acting is a seasonal job; hence there’s no income when there’s no job.

However, he is grateful to his Akbar Birbal co-actors Ali Asgar and Vishaal Kotian, Khalid Siddiqui, who also played his brother in SAAKK and some of my school friends extended their unconditional support. They offered him financial aid. Fortunately, he didn’t have to ask anyone for help and took care of his medical expenses. ALSO READ: Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani’s Sooraj Thapar Discharged From Hospital After Recovering From COVID-19; His Friend Says ‘He Is Still Feeling Weak’
